PROBLEM: This SDA Chamber was suffering from both corrosion and abrasion. This area is subjected to both high wet heat and centrifugal force abrasion. There was a loss of metal that, if not abated, would cause structural failure that could result in a plant shutdown.

SOLUTION: Application contractor sandblasted the surface to a near white metal finish and then applied a highly abrasion- and corrosion-resistant material.

Belzona 1391 Ceramic HT

PRODUCT DETAILS: Belzona 1391 was chosen due to its resistance to high wet temperatures (thus corrosion), high abrasion resistance and being 100% solid. It can be cured rapidly thus allowing the equipment to be put back in service quickly.
